I posted this on my scrapbooking message board but wanted to share it here too.
I was in tears too, I'm such a dork. When I dropped the kids off, I saw a man in military uniform. When I went the awkward way home and passed a bus stop by another voting place, I saw a woman with a 'vote' tshirt... and her Guide Dog. When I went into my place to vote, I saw another gentleman in military uniform. And I took a sappy picture of the 'Vote Here' sign, flag and cross (parochial school) together. Even though I like my religion and politics separate, all these things reminded me of what I feel blessed to have in America.

Yes, me too and definitely not sappy:):) Something phenomenal happened, the birth of hope in our country:)
