For the love of Wall E

We took the boys to see Wall E last night.

I hadn't been interested in seeing it, but was quickly drawn into the story and characters.

I love Eve's egg shaped, how she represents new things, birth, life. How Wall E has the tools and foresight to put himself back together when he falls apart.

I was reminded of Gurdjieff's lesson to be awake and aware when Mary and John are knocked out of the procession of chairs and realize how much more to life there is.

I thought it could have almost been preachy, but maintained that fine balance of entertainment and education. It made me want to lose my 50 extra pounds as well, to jog, to swim, to reach out to 'real' people around me.
